Who We Are

FlightLinq provides software for virtual airline management. This policy covers our public website and our applications, including any companion bridge used to transmit flight data from your local machine to our services.

Information We Collect

We design our products to minimize personal data. We collect:

Account Information you provide at registration, such as username, email address, password (hashed), and virtual airline affiliation. We do not request government IDs, payment card data, or sensitive personal categories.

Flight Data sent from your local machine via the FlightLinq bridge or app, including items such as aircraft type, routes, schedules, flight plans, events, telemetry, performance metrics, simulated positions, timestamps, and configuration or plugin metadata required for functionality. This data is operational in nature and not intended to identify a real person.

Usage and Device Data from our apps and site, such as app version, device/OS type, crash logs, and interaction events. On the website we may use analytics to understand feature usage.

How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

Legal Bases

Where required, we process data based on: (i) performance of a contract (providing the service you requested); (ii) our legitimate interests (service safety, improvement, and analytics); and (iii) your consent where applicable (e.g., optional analytics).

Analytics and Cookies

Our website may use analytics tools (for example, Google Analytics) to understand aggregated usage. These tools may set cookies or use similar technologies. You can control cookies via your browser settings. We do not use analytics to build profiles of individual users of the app’s operational data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

Data Retention

Account and flight data are retained for as long as needed to provide the service and support your organization’s operations, then for a reasonable period for audit, troubleshooting, or legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account as described below; organizational retention policies may also apply for flight data.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data, including encrypted transit, access controls, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; we continuously improve our safeguards.

International Transfers

We may process data on servers located in different countries. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect transferred data.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Requests can be submitted via the contact below. For organization-managed flight data, please also coordinate with your virtual airline administrators.

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. We will post the updated policy with a new “Last updated” date.
