What is FlightLinq?
FlightLinq is an all-in-one platform for virtual airline management, combining ACARS and airline operations in a single app accessible locally or via the cloud for MSFS 2020/2024 and X-Plane.
How does FlightLinq calculate my flight score?
Our scoring algorithm takes into account almost every aspect of your flight. Every flight starts with 100 points and based on in-flight events the pilot will lose points for making mistakes (or earn bonus points for exceptional work). We evaluate items such as use of lights, over speeding, following taxi rules, stalls, flap deployment, etc. Our landing break down goes beyond just the landing rate, it also values runway accuracy, touch down zone, and approach stability.
How does the ACARS integration work?
When you download the app, it will automatically connect to your flight simulator (MSFS 2020/2024 and X-Plane). Before you start your flight in the simulator, please complete booking a flight and going through pre-flight validations.
Can I run it in a browser?
Yes, you can access the app through the browser for all of the VA Management or stat checking; however, the app version required for connecting to the simulator
Can we transfer our information over from our old VA Manager?
This answer requires a bit of nuance. Our app allows importing of routes, bulk adding of aircraft, and a fast way for pilots to register and join. However, the data from your past VA manager cannot be easily ported over at this time.
How often does FlightLinq release updates?
Our team is commited to high speed iterative development. You can count on seeing improvements at least twice a month for the forseeable future. Good news is, you don't have to do anything! Our app auto-updates and takes less than 10 seconds to get you flying right away!
